Despite seeing ALL TV configurations recommending Dynamic Contrast controls to be turned off and fully understanding the reasons for it, I am finding it really good when turned ON in my Samsung.I can minimize the resulting information loss in the dark areas by setting Gamma a notch or 2 higher and still retain the fantastic contrast boost the feature provides.

So, anyone else using the feature or all have turned it off?btw, i have tested it ON against FHD rips and BluRays and SD channels too(crap STB).

for sd channels one can put it to low settings,in some scenes it increases the shadow details, when one puts to high what happens is that at some scenes it also crushes shadow details.

for dvd/hd i would turn them off.

I turned it off as there was colour differences & change in overall PQ in Philips 5609.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
