arcam dac connecting to computer

Can I use arcam ir dac to connect it computer and cd player because in company product description says for use with apple products ipad

Ofcourse you can use Laptop and other sources.
Below is the extract from the Arcam site:

The irDAC is designed to be the heart of a digital system and can be connected to a host of different types of digital sources and connections. This includes asynchronous USB and direct iPod connection, taking the digital signal direct from an Apple device for optimal sound quality.

Inputs: USB, SPDIF, optical, iPod

this sentence confused me thanks for clearing my doubt

Actually there are two USB inputs on the irDAC - USB type A which takes Apple products directly while another USB type B which can be used to connect your regular computer. A CD player can be connected to the co-ax/ optical input of the DAC depending on the output available on your player.

I auditioned Arcam irDAC with my computer and it sounded very good.
