Okie dokie...finally ended up buying the mini via ebay where it was available for 3440 as special of the week as highlighted in the post above

Any others on the forum who bought this as part of the same deal? from this dealer from harshacorp from Ahemdabad, Gujrat?

When I bought from same harshcorp it was 3640 one month back. He is a good seller, fast delivery.
 
Kindly confirm whether the Mini plays MKV files in correct aspect ratio.How will a file with 1280 X 528 pixels play in the Mini ?

Will it play the file in correct aspect ratio adding black borders up and down or will it play in the 16:9 ratio trimming the left and right side of the video ?

Kindly confirm.

1. Edit Playlist and save the certain folder called AutoPlay in root catalog of USB drive.
2. O!Play Mini can automatically play all video files that are included in file in loop.
Way Two: Edit Playlist in your PC/NB
1. Movie & Music: playlist.m3u (UTF-8)
2. Photo: playlist.alb (UTF-8)
EX:
(1) Movie/Magic/Harry Potter1.mkv
(2) Mp3/Mariah Carey/Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel/The Impossible.mp3
(3) Photo/HK/Day1/IMG_01.jpeg
Note: The files for m3u and alb must be encoded by UTF-8.

It plays without any back borders on left and right.
 
when I refer in Asus site they have mentioned DTS 2.0+ Digital Out for all models that means we get only 2.0 not 5.1 for DTS tracks ???

I am not using this player so I don't know exact detail but I saw this detail in asus player in their website also.

i had the same query before getting it :ohyeah:

don't worry you'll get dts 5.1 , here's your answer:

DTS-HD 2.0 + Digital Out denotes the ability of outputting
DTS-HD High Resolution Audio 2.0 Lossy channels directly to a
TV or external amplifier through analog outputs. Also capable of
outputting DTS-HD High Resolution Audio streams to an
external decoder such as an A/V receiver or pre-amp/processor.

I'm also intend to buy this player but today I say that WD TV Live plus is available at 79usd on amazon. I can easly arrange from some friend to get it from USA. Now Please suggest me should I got for Oplay mini or WDTV Live plus both is going to have same cost for me.

please consider hd2 before buying, because at 7,500.. u get extra 2 usb and wifi option also can add 2 tb hard disk.. i use the 1 tb hard disk to store devotional songs, videos, kid photos.. so morning i just switch on hd2 and play it. also stored vmy favourite comedies and movies downloaded on u tube.. though bit pricy is worth it. remote also better than mini.
 
I bought Asus O!play mini two days back, It is a good simple player.
How do we safely remove the USB drive? I tried to search for the same in manual, but coould not find anything related.

Switch off the player. Remove the stick. It's simple.:D
