AVR for best movie experience

hi just wanted to update all that I have received the new replaced unit of SR5009.

unfortunately the audio drop issue is still there as same :) But this time, i do not want to complain the AVR as I believe there is something else than blaming it on the AVR. May be HDMI handshake issues or old firmware in my LG LED TV.

Will continue to keep testing and workarounds and see if some magic happens at some point of time...

Instead of hooking ur devices to tv first then to have, hook the devices to have first then HDMI out to tv this was the sound will goto avr directly from source and tv will not play and foul while transmitting sound

I think you are asking me to first connect the source to avr and then to the TV.

I tried that, when i connect the source to AVR, i hear no audio drops, clean & clear sound. Only when I connect the ARC port to TV and display starts, I start getting the audio drop for a second in every 20-25 seconds of viewing. The HDMI cable to TV ARC port from AVR is OK.

I think I have to wait for new firmware update for my LG LED TV or will try a reset of my TV later today to see if this fixes the issue.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
