Hi Sid
Don't most music players like roon, jriver have PEQ inbuilt or its more effective if done from the dac?
Not sure Rikhav, I don't use Roon, and while I use Jriver for movie watching, I stopped using it for music long ago. However I would imaging the eq built into a music player running off a computer would be as, or more effective than one built into a DAC, as it has more robust computing power behind it. Anyways for my needs the PEQ in the RME is very effective and more than adequate.
Cheers,
Sid

Not really square, each one has a different presentation. The Sabrina, has a much higher resolution and by virtue of its size plays at a larger scale, otoh the 8's by virtue of their coaxial arrangement have phenomenal imaging and can virtually disappear into the stage, while having a more expansive soundstage. While I won't mistake them for the wilsons, I enjoy their spatial distribution of the stage thoroughly.
Cheers,
Sid
That's very good information. You have described it very well. A different perspective and interpretation into the recordings. Speakers makes so much difference!!

Ideally I would like to have one speaker that does it all, but in about 35 years of searching, have yet to find one. Hence I usually own 2-3 pairs at any given time, each having a special virtue.

I have been a Nuforce/Nuprime fan for the past 15 years, having owned a few of their components. My favorite was the ST-10 amplifier, it really synergized very well, with tubed upstream gear producing a wonderful, warm and musical sound (this from a class D switching amp.) Subsequently I tried a few other Class D devices, but thought they were good, I could never reach that level of musicality which I heard with the ST10. This prompted me to look at Nuprime again, and I recently got the AMG STA amp. Wow! Sounds sublime driving the Sabrina's. Loving this amp.
Cheers,
Sid

I have some beautiful experiences with the Original Nuforce amplfiers. With the right implementation, this topology can be amazing sounding.
