He has many products in which I am interested but my last and only experience with him has made me stay away for good.

Hi,

I had bought my ASUS Xonar Essence ST from him; it was a smooth transaction with a next day delivery, though I was initially errrrred by certain protocols such as becoming a registered member in his forum and letting them know of the payment ID, etc.

Thanks,
Venkat

Hi Just thought I would share my most bitter experience w.r.t. AV purchase which I had with this shady setup "LYNX" headed by a cheat by the name of AMARBIR SINGH DHILLON. I had purchased a QUINPU A3 amp with tube buffer from him on the 29th October, 2010 but after only 3 months use, it gave up. I called him up and the cheat very slyly offered to get it repaired, so I sent back the unit to him and then the whole game started.

Every time I called him up ( have been doing so since last 3 years) he comes up with some excuse or another, however I kept persisting and seeing the frequency of my calls, his shop person HEMRAJ told me "Sir no point calling him up as Mr Amarbir has repaired and sold off the amp online to someone" I was foxed to say the least, still I kept asking him to send me back the amp without repairing and he always kept saying "Sir will despatch it day after tomorrow", but that tomorrow has not yet come. One fine day I got a call on my cellphone from this guy HEMRAJ saying "Sir I am very sorry to see your predicament and another of our shop person wants to speak to you" and he put me up to a Nigerian named Rajab Mukkasa or something who to asked me to forget the amp as it was already sold and also "Please dont imform about our conversation to Amarbir".

Hemraj also told me that he is fed up with the cheating of Amarbir, and is leaving his shop for good !!!.

As of today I have recordings of all these conversations on my phone, but have decided to finally give up on the amp.

My only intention is to be careful in dealing with this known cheat as he is very active on e-bay and is nowhere to be found on our forum.

take care,

Lifewater

Why dont you go to his forums on lynx-india/facebook/twitter whatever it is and skin the life out of him ??? I hate such cheats...

I have some of my money stuck with him for the past 3 years... Have contacted him and followed up with him for almost 2 years.. But still he haven't given the money back... He is a cheat and everyone should take extra care when dealing with him..

Why dont we all get together and pile up on him ? Making a list now, which we will post on his FB page, forum etc.

Thanks tintin, will do so. Need help from all of you.

Thanks again,

Lifewater

I've transacted just once with Lynx several years ago and got the product I paid for, but after seeing your post never again.

If you have a lawyer who can help you, consider Order 37 of the CPC.

See link below (pdf also attached in case the webpage disappears):

How to recover pending dues - The Times of India

I am not a lawyer, but as described in the article this part of the CPC actually makes it the responsibility of the defendant to appear in court within a specified time else the case is decided in the plaintiff favor.

Thank you very much, I will speak to my Lawyer today. Have also posted this in the FB page of Lynx-India. Suggest @Krishnenduk also do the same.

Best wishes,

I was hoping I will never have to vent it out but I saw this thread here about Lynx and I had the urge to just add one of my most harrowing buying experiences.

I will not go into the minute details as it boils my blood to even try and remember that. Sometime back I decided to purchase the Asus Xonar Essence ST from Lynx as it was not available anywhere else. I knew what I was getting into as I had read many bad incidents that people had had over a long time dealing with the guy owning this shop. But I wanted that sound card so bad that I just could not resist buying it. I was hoping mine would be one of the rare pleasant experiences that customers intermittently had with Mr. Dhillon's customer service. But I was not destined to be in that league of extrodinary gentlemen.

I was shocked to see how brazen the guy was even from the moment I called to check if he really had availability of the sound card. He spoke as if he was really doing me a favour by talking to me. I think he should be sent to a customer service rehab. He was very prompt till the time the money was given to him. But the harassment started from his end right from the next very day.

- No concrete answers about delivery at all.
- Numerous calls to him on his cell & to his guy who handled telephonic queries - but no help
- Starting a thread on his own forum - still nothing
- Even prayed to get my money back or get the product, yes got that desparate, but nothing happened.

It never got shipped and neither did he update the order status on his website. I was repeatedly told that he had placed the order but it was not provided to him by the backend.

Finally, having lost my patience, after I think a couple of months of putting up to this bizarre behaviour, It struck me to escalate the matter. I found out that Rashi Peripherals was dealing with Asus Xonar imports in India. So I called up at Rashi's office in Chandigarh and told them how the guy that is their reseller, is cheating me and asked them to confirm if he ever placed an order with them. They confirmed that probably the order was placed but no one from Lynx ever bothered to follow up with them. Imagine, I had to ask the importers to contact Mr. Dhillon to confirm if this order was pending to be shipped from his end or not. I thank Rashi so much for being so helpful and doing that for me. Turned out that Mr. Dhillon never cared to check with Rashi and get the card picked up.

Finally I had to shake Mr. Dhillon up from his slumber and ask him to at least get the product picked up from Rashi's office and ship it. It was miraculous that he acted finally and the next day I got my card. Phew, what a nightmare.

All I can say is people who had smooth transactions with Mr. Dhillon should consider themselves absolutely lucky and they definitely can be considered as a species unto themselves.

Lastly, Lynx's business tagline should have been - We offer the best orDEALS !!

The only good part about that experience was that the Asus Xonar Essence ST sound card is a gem of a product for the money it asks. Brilliant stepping stone into hifi.

My my Kartick what have you gone through... I have gone through these all and more. Posted on his FB page but the sly fox deleted it as soon as it was done. Have been posting the same matter in his FB pages at different times so that at least 20 people sees it in a day.

Regards,

Lifewater.

Would request more people who has been cheated by LYNX or Amarbir Singh Dhillon to open up please.

Any updates on this one OP ? Would love to see a closure from your side on this.

No nothing, no response from Amarbir. He has blocked me on facebook and also on Whatsapp. As far as I am concerned this issue would be closed only after I get back my money or an alternate amp.

Regards,

Lifewater
