Banana Jacks - Does it create a difference in output?

Well, I am pretty sure people who like things naked would prefer the inside connection you have suggested. :D But seriously, would anyone do it?

If you are handy with electronics, you can do it. why not ? I am sure no one will do it with expensive gear that they want to sell later :)

As some have said, the best speaker cables is a no cable. So, the shortest is always the best due to cable low resistance.

Most banana plugs made out of brass, hence higher resistance compared to pure copper. Banana plugs are a definitely NO for me.

please read the thread from the start. any addition of the metal in the signal path hampers the ability of the signal..so banana jacks are surely not a welcome thing for audio..only for the ease of changing cables..

so if anyone says..that by adding banana jack SQ is enhanced..that means ..there is difference between education and literacy.

Well then what about terminal Jack/Connection/binding posts on amp itself?Again there is a metal. It can also make a certain change.

Yes..it is also a barrier...pls read the thread from first post...somewhere it is mentioned that direct soldering is better than binding posts...

One thing is for sure..these connections can not enhance the sound...only thing that it will affect it in negative way

Plainly, there are at least two pieces of metal at the end of every in-use speaker cable. The point is to make that only two, and to make that meeting of metals as good as possible with reference to cleanliness, surface contact, tightness, etc.

That is just good practice. And if it doesn't make anything actually better, then at least we have the satisfaction of knowing we did it right .
