This entire saga reminds of a small incident from Ramayana. The struggle that Hanuman went through along with his
army of monkeys to build the bridge from Rameshwaram to Lanka. Only that you did not have even a single "monkey"
along with you. I only wish that I was in Chennai to have helped you with something.
It somehow makes me a little uncomfortable to realize that I will be enjoying the fruits of your labor, but, every time
I will listen to anything on those speakers will sure remind me of you and all that you went through for years to come.

capt, mine must be two packets. sub and bs. for bs I would like to go for the chennai build. so you would not need to make them into one packet.
for sub I want try locally, but I am not sure if I will get a good carpentar. Do I need cnc etc for sub build?

Hey Anant, it would make sense to get your cabs made locally as Delhi is too far and would be not only expensive to make cabinets and send them there but also a bigger risk of likely damage. Also, it would make sense to get both cabinets made at the same place.
For cabinets, why don't you try to take the help of Kanwar. He made the super monstrous sub of hifiashok and I'm sure would pass on the contact details.

To me - bookshelves getting made in chennai sounds like a better idea as the carpenter you mentioned seems good. I can fit driver and crossover when they reach here.

the breakup seems very similar to gati "regular"
if it is so please confirm with blue dart
if the price is based on weight then the number of parcels does not matter
for example even if i were to get 3 parcels
the price breakup is something like this
FREIGHT = weight of all the 3 parcels say 10kgs each 10 * 14rs kg = 140
ROV charge - X
basic charge - Y
MISC ( basically octroi ) - rs 200 ( i get charged 200 irrespectiveve of the declared value aslong as its marked PERSONAL goods)
handling charges Z
service tax
edu cess
now even if i had one parcel all the charges would remain the same except freight
if the above is true for blue dart you wont have to go through the effort of clubbing packages that belong to a single person
it doesnt matter if you send 1 or 3 all charges remain the same except for the freight value
please find out before making the effort or packing
