Took stock of the situation. The volume of packages of the following forum members has been taken into consideration, which occupies huge amount of real estate which, I don't have. I'm trying to speak to all of them but able to speak to all but one.
1. CaptRajesh - Kits will be kept with me.
2. Cganeshprabhu - Spoken. Sending the kits to him.
3. Exljp - Spoken. Sending the kits to him.
4. Josephjohnt - Spoken. Sending the kits to him.
5. Rgn1 - Number provided appears to be wrong.
6. Sethunr - Spoken. Kits will be kept with me.
7. Sivakuru - Spoken. Sending the kits to him.
8. Stereorules - Spoken. Sending the kits to him.

Hi,
I always had to pay Octroi and courier company provide Octroi recpt for the same.They charge me 4%+ 50 Rs service charges.Yesterday also I have paid Rs100 Octroi for my Element14 parcel.

Madhurai was speaking about navi Mumbai while I guess you are from Nasik. There are certain cities & towns in Maharashtra that are exempt from octroi..

What a remarkable effort captain. You took care of ordering, logistics, Handled govt. officials, Have kept huge consignment in your home. and are shipping kits to individuals. Guys, first package has been personally collected by Jaybe. He was a thorough gentleman; he was to come to Chennai on Wednesday but preponed his visit to accommodate my request.
The packages were to be collected yesterday but the pick up guy left because the papers were not ready.
I am working out their volumes and weights to arrive at volumetric weight. They would be delivered tomorrow.
BTW, since there is an option, I'm letting Bluedart take care of the insurance also. Hope it is fine with everyone.

There have been a few PMs asking for the amount to be paid for couriering the boxes.
There is some surplus fund left over after paying to customs guys, I'm told by the shipping and clearing agent. I've not got the refund yet as they have not done the full calculations. So I'm using my funds to pay the courier guys.
After I receive the balance from the Shipping agent, if the money falls short, I'll update the thread.
In any case, I'll be posting the full calculations after I get the details.

Congratulations on successfully planning and executing such a major project enlisting the fullest cooperation from so many persons concerned. The participating members have also shown great patience in enduring the delays and frustrations inevitable in taking up such a challenge in Indian conditions.
I look forward to fellow members sharing their experiences in building and listening to these speakers as they progress. I will certainly take the opportunity of listening to the completed speakers as and when the occasion arises.

Thank you Miroflex.
All the boxes have been dispatched. Seven members have requested to change the address. I had removed the original labels and wrote the details with permanent markers. Also wrote the mobile numbers available with me on the pallets as far as possible and the declaration forms. Hope you will all get your boxes within 10 days max.

The person who makes cabinets for the Chennai based AV company is a busy and successful carpenter and hence I'm finding him a elusive. I'm reluctant to find alternatives because his workmanship is top notch. Will get him done the work eventually and hence can't have any time lines and patience is a virtue here.

Capt - any tracking available for the shipment?
Regarding cabinet build - capt has a space crunch to keep so much stuff. So I have asked him to send my kit. If and when he is able to get hold of the person, he will get one flatpack done for me, which I will assemble here locally.

Thanks for posting the AWB numbers they are very useful and seems like bluedart is super fast in delivery... its showing expected delivery on 23rd for me i.e tomorrow is very quick for the road transport.
Also thanks for making payments to the BlueDart from your own pocket for our shipments, I understand that we will have to pay you amount after adjusting any residual amounts left from the payments we made for the Customs and C&F etc..
Please can you also confirm if we need to pay anything additional to BlueDart guys except the octroi if applicable to our respective cities? this info may be very helpful considering some of us may not be personally available at home when the blue dart delivery guy comes.
