Best ever deal for loudspeaker kits.

I'm happy to note that some of the members have started their construction and have started build threads. I've noted that some are posting about their builds in others' threads.

It may be a good idea to start individual threads and collate the info on this thread. I'm making a beginning here:

Ranjithv's build thread: http://www.hifivision.com/diy/28409-cabinet-build-gr-group-buy-kits.html

Naren2512's build thread: http://www.hifivision.com/diy/28615-my-gr-sw-12-04-a370peq-amp-based-servo-sub-build.html

Surrealistix's build thread: http://www.hifivision.com/diy/29292-gr-research-n3-speakers-servo-sub-build.html

Thanks Captain, agree that it would be good if we have a list of links to the build threads of all the participants of the Group-buy. Adding some build threads from Danny's forum as well.

Odyssey's build: cab build and finishing can be clubbed with magma's build as magma's doing the honours for Odyssey.

I'll start a new thread too. Thx.

There is already a DIY section and the FMs can start separate build threads, right?

Correct, where is the confusion?

The sticky thread that we are talking about is all about technical posts that were made on the serpentine thread including hyperlinks of individual build threads all of which would be under DIY.

@Rgn1, actually that's how I wanted to list but got a little lazy. ;)

BTW, you have missed my name.:p

Captain, name added now :-)
You can blame it on copying and pasting, I copied your list of waybill numbers and since you didn't ship to yourself, your name is missing :-) .

Oh, in that case, you would've also missed Jaybe and Sethunr; Jaybe collected in person and I'm having Sethu's kits still with me, as he wanted to tag along with me for the kits build, come what may.

Since there are a few more changes to the list posted by Rgn1, I'm posting the list of final participants with the hyperlinks to their build threads.

guys I am not yet able to focus on the build. Really sad because of the delay as I was so anxious to get the kit and now it is getting delayed at my end.

I too had been looking out for carpenter all these days as I hardly get time even to move the sheet for cutting.

Checked few of them around, most of them do Doors/windows ( manual cutting of holes), A furniture guy - but is occupied for next few months.

I'm not sure how all are having these done(except the above 4 links!) and at what labor charges.

I've decided to spend about 2 hrs daily for this week and get something done.
let us see if I can be of any help or if I can be open for Business :ohyeah: for Bangalore guys once my build is done.

I searched for a carpenter and was not successful. So I got the MDF cut from a wood carving workshop who is having CNC machines. They charge around Rs. 450 per hr. It takes around 4 to 5 hrs and I felt the amount I had to spent is high, but I had no choice, but the work done is quite satisfactory.

It may be worth it.
If the cuts are accurate etc, the cabinet will be a simple matter
of gluing and clamping together and you will get an accurate cabinet, with
lot of time saved, and avoid potential heartburn, delays and other issues with
unknown local carpenters.
