No Rez may be all in one solution but not the only solution. The alternative mentioned here would be equally good IMHO.

The customs duty chart posted above is just the basic duty chart
The actual duty on the items of this category can go up to 27% to 30% which includes the special duty that is added on the items which are manufactured in India but still people buy from abroad and apart from this custom duty there may be file submission charges , clearence agent charges and if you guys are importing through sea port there will be local frieght charges plus ware house charges

No worries on non-availability of No-Rez. Host of other options. Glasswool is one but it will minimise resonance by damping but AFAIK, will not do much for standing waves. That depend more on the cabinet design by avoiding parallel walls/baffles etc etc. IMO, heat-resistant convoluted foam will do an equally good job. What is that, eh?

Well its the foam used to line the inside of your car bonnet (and engine firewell). Bonded coconut fiber sheets will work equally well.

There are two things here, one is stuffing(glasswool/poly -fill etc) the cabinet and the second is lining it (no-rez/foam/natural fiber).

It is advisable to stick with what the designer advocates. What I mean is that if the designer specifies both lining and stuffing, do it. Howvever, if only either of the two is advocated, then doing both is most likely to be counter-productive.

I think, the hi-end caps would be sent along with the stock crossovers; we need to replace the original caps with them.

I have used both glass wool & Dacron poly fill, but glass wool seem to work better.

In that case, can't that be done by Danny and test it before he ships it?. Also then the shipment once cleared customs can go directly the box maker (if we find one, i am sure we can find a reasonable one) instead of some one to fix these before being send for cabinets.

OK guys, the deadline is nearing. Let us work out the nitty-gritties.

Option 1: Open an account in my Bank into which, all the willing participants would deposit the money and Danny would be paid from this account after which, Danny makes the shipment.

Option 2: Each of the members makes their own arrangement to pay Danny and after everyone pays, Danny would make the shipment.

Option 3: Either of the above but the payment would be made to Danny's associate, Peerless.

@Danny, kindly apprise us of the shipping options.

If yes then there is a payment process that you ppl have to follow, the above payment methods are all different and adopting any one method changes the following course of getting the shipment landed here, for example if you are paying through one account then there should be a PO released to Danny by that account holder and then the payment should be send only from that persons account,in return danny should send
one bill in that account holders name ( 1 po = 1 bill)
And sending payments individually should follow a different course. Everybody should be aware that if you are sending money to some foreign account than there should be a valid proof that you have received a non objectionable material in return
