Best ever deal for loudspeaker kits.

Any updates Capt, Danny?

This batch for group buy is closed now AFAIK.

For those who are interested, we can start another group buy thread.

Hi Anm,

It would be interesting to start another group buy thread after hearing the reaction of the first group of DIYers. Write ups of actual listening experience of the assembled speakers would be most valuable and eagerly awaited by fellow members. It would be great to hear positive reactions about this kit.

Regards.

@Danny, What is the latest on shipping?

I have all of the orders boxed up.

I have doubled checked the list and everyone has been checked off. All orders filled.

Each box has each persons shipping address on it. If multiple boxes are involved then they are marked 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. Or in some cases 1 of 3 and so on.

On box number 1 there is a packing slip pouch on the outside of the box that includes an invoice for each individual order.

So I spent yesterday figuring out how to get it on a pallet. 1,278 pounds and 54 boxes. Here is a pic.

I then wrapped it in cardboard and shrink wrapped it.

I really wanted it on one pallet so that things would not get stacked on top of it. However, it is now 4 inches too tall, and I just can't get the height down any more. I think I will have to put it on two pallets after all.

Ugh, this is a lot of work for this one man show. Back to re-stacking.

Danny, that's lot of hard work, really appreciated! I could have never done it all by myself.

Will two pallets mean increase in the shipping cost? Or worse, heavier stuff stacked on top of the two pallets?

Yes, it will slightly increase my shipping cost because it will take up twice as much space in the container.

I will add a bunch of bright green "Do Not Double Stack" stickers. So maybe that will help keep them safe.

I have all of this re-boxed onto two pallets now. I'll post some new pics shortly.

I have been trying for several days to arrange some shipping and have realized it is much cheaper to have product shipped from India to me than from me to India. I guess a lot of that has to do with the difference in currency.

So I am going to see if I can get a freight forwarded over there to have it picked up instead. So hang on. I am working on it.

I wrote a long message, but I think I did something stupid and only following got posted. I also congratulated on the century of the thread's pages.
Going forward, we should split group buy messages from technical discussions question answers into separate thread.

Capt - it was not for your last post :D

I wanted to score a century.;)(100 pages) Now that it is achieved, we can think of this:p.

:D Bhai, stop this record nonsense, enough of statistics! Serves no purpose except for massaging of ones EGO!

Concentrate on getting the kit, assembling it & then enjoying the movies/music through them ;)

Also just 7 short from the replied list to make a perfect 1000. Hope this too will boost Captains image and EGO. I am contributing to the record.

He he he Denom & Hari Iyer, thank you guys for your "valuable" contribution.;)

Edit: @Anm, that is a good suggestion. I'm pinging the super mod for bifurcating the thread so that all posts containing technical details are separated out as a new thread.
