Congrats. Please share the price, dealer and experience once you set it upBought Emotiva BasX S12 today.
From where did you buy it?
From the photograph, it looks like you are also using Wharfedale speakers. I am also using Diamond 225s and ordered 220c as center. Still deciding on the sw. Does this sw go well with Wharfedales? Currently, I have Taga Harmony & Polk in mind for sw.
PS: It looks like we both posted at the same timeThanks for the details.
By the way, did you compare it with Taga SW-10 at the Htstore?
I recently heard SVS PB2000 & PB1000. PB1000 was not at all good but PB2000 was much better. It was boomy for me but not to the extent of pb1000. It seems all ported sub's are a bit boomy. I want a sub which is punchy & tight. Do you think I will like Emotiva BASX s12?
Here in Mumbai No dealer having this sub. Unable to audition. Want to place an order but with out audition seems very risky.
Yes. Fronts and subwoofer need not be from same brand. Any sub can be integrated with proper setting. I haven't heard Taga. Heard Polk psw125/550 and was not impressed.

BasX S10 and S12 are ported, but it is slot-loaded design and not the regular round port. My understanding from reading is that slot design has advantage of less port noise and give more tighter bass. The slot is on rear side extending across the width on bottom. It is not boomy in my living room. My music listening has become more enjoyable now.
Does anyone own BASX s10? How's it?
I'm in a dilemma to choose among the following.
1) Emotiva BASX s10
2) Velodyne Impact 12
3) Polk DSW550wi
Please suggest if any other subwoofer is good. I am ambitious about a sub that is above 175W RMS and goes below 30Hz.
