I shall be very obliged to get your advice as it will help me spend wisely.

In this forum Bose is not raved about. And I read many good things about canton..so IMHO it will be DEGRADATION!!!

If possible try to upgrade sub woofer with least 10 inches. To find matching sub take help of forum ...

What is your budget? Are you planning to sell cantons? at what price?

Also you have any space contraint so that you are looking for small seakers?
As there are packages with 4 Bookshelf speakers ,1 Centre and Decently sized subwoofer ( 10-12 Inch) which sounds far better definatly than bose.If you choose front 2 floor stands the sound will be in different league.

what is your reason for upgrading? Specifically, what in the music/ sound do think you are missing in the current setup?

a hemant said, possibly you find the bass inadequate, and there a sub upgrade would be the most obvious choice.

if you do decide to look at an they 5.1 compact package, do give the paradigm cinema series a listen!

If you are after the best sound for the buck, suggest you ignore the Bose. If you have aesthetics on top of your list, then you may consider them.

Hi All,

Thanks for your comments and advice.

Can some one also please let me know the difference in technical specifications for both.

Bose doesn't reveal its technical specifications.

However, at Bose's price point, many other much better things are always available.

So you can knock Bose out of your list.

Assuming that you want to spend about 50-70k+ only on the speakers, you can get a good setup, better than most satellite setups.

Don't go for a HTiB. Go for Wharf 9.2 + 9.1 + Center + SW150
