what do you mean by system?
AV amplifier + speakers or HTIB -home theatre in box?
What is the source you are planning?
have you thought of maximum budget?

Onkyo HT-S3300 think Price is 23500 or 24K

3300 is 5.1. But if we say cheapest HTiB, this is the one I guess. Typically HTiB requires an AVR so I doubt there is anything less than 3300. But literally cheapest 7.1 system can be made through an HTPC. (irrespective of the quality mind you) (within 10-15K)

Cheapest system:

1. Get an entry level 7.1 AVR (Pioneer) : 12- 14k
2. Entry level 5.1 speaker set - 6k
3. Additional surround speakers to make it 7.1 - 2k

That gets you a true 7.1 system.

If you are thinking of pioneer from Global sources have you added prices of voltage converter?

also CHEAPEST PIONEER (520) IS 5.1 NOT 7.1

which entry level 5.1 speaker set for 6 k? ( Probably Yamaha ??It is just ok..or I say BAD)

PLEASE CAN YOU GIVE US CORRECT FACTS ,with model numbers and sources???

7.1 AVR for 12-14K!! ..... please share the model no

Although you can get a 7.1 for 50k, it is not worth it to spend 50k on such a cheap 7.1 when you can get a better quality 5.1 for the same price.

To truly experience the power of 7.1, you will need to spend lacs on your setup, and then too the difference won't be much except in huge rooms, if at all.

I would suggest get the best 5.1 you can afford.
