Which is the cheapest dac/ 5.1 speakers which has decoding for Tata sky's sound? I believe the sound is Dolby digital..

There was a panasonic HTIB with Optial , amp and 5 input for 8-9 K - so you get a DVD player.1 speakers -quality was strictly rage but passableave

Thanks all, surely will consider them, but anyone knows any local branded stuff , as I don't use a DVD player..? I m mostly a stereo person , and I have a dedicated entry level setup for it, but for movies I Just felt like having a little action from all around ..

I ll tell u the cheapest option.

Get this item from ebay.in for ~5k - it will convert optical to analog 5.1. With Philips HTIBs and the likes u get only one optical input option where as in this gadget, u can connect 2 optical and one coaxial which means 3 devices like tata sky and get simple 5.1 analog output.

Note: I have an unused one which I used for a month. I ll be happy to sell u at half price if u r ok with it.

After that go to ur local grey market and get the extremely cheapest available local 5.1 speaker. As the branded ones are above 2.5K, I believe u shd get an extremely local one at around 1.5-2k INR

So there u go-

5K + 2K = 7K INR OR
2.5K (used) + 2K -= 4.5K INR

I strongly believe a cheaper option is not possible. Hope that helps.
