Component Cables

Hello folks, newbie here. I would considered myself to be a novice in audio visual but have read up on component cables for the PS2 so I've switched to component cables for my PS2 but i'm getting this result, screengrabs. The TV is fairly dated Wharfedale. All cables are connected to their corresponding colours on the TV. Am i missing something very basic? The console model number is SCPH 50003. The sound is perfect and the cables are new out of the box and aren't the cheap versions from amazon.

Did you check the ports (on both sides) for dust and deposits? May want to clean them and reconnect the cables again. It may also be an issue with the circuit board itself...
