Courrier a used amp with no original box. any suggestions ?

Need to courrier from Mumbai to Hyderabad.Its only bubble wrapped right now. Spoke to Blue Dart, they will not provide package/box.
Any other courrier company will do ? Is this an option at all considering might get damaged without propoer packing ?

Please share your inputs & suggestions.

its advisable to pack the amp in a double walled carton box with 1/2 inch thick styrofoam blocks used as padding between the amp and the carton all around. Also shrink wrapping the carton in plastic will prevent it from getting wet.

Thanks Abhi. Do you know what type of shops might stock the carton and styrofoam blocks ? I guess not the local stationary shops.

Also does anybody know if we can carry an amp in check-in baggage ? Has anybody done this ?
