Had heard the V601 not for long and in a not so broken in state. So my opinion may not be totally correct. To my ears they were not the most inch perfect accurate but sounded very nice and musical - almost British sounding if you know what I mean. Since you have the s520, this one sounds quite different from that speaker. Its much more laid back and has better bigger sounding bass. However the Odyssey sounded much much better to my ears and till date thats the best speaker I've heard in that 40-50k'ish price range. Beautiful speaker that one is and its easily better than the Polk or the Epos that are being recommended. Check with Sridhar if he has a pair.
