Connectivity & features will differ.Like Onkyo 508 & 608 has same power,but different features.

I was also confused when I was buying AVR then opted for Pioneer 919 over 1019 because both the receiver is having only one difference upscaling chip....you can also compare the specs and based on your requirements go for the receiver which is best suited for you on the price you are paying.
