Hi folks,

I am planning to ask my friend to get Onkyo AVR from US. Major hurdle is not baggage, voltage specifications ;). It is all 110 V, 60 HZ. though 110V is manageable by step down transformer, not sure what to do about 60Hz.

While i saw this website Multi System TVS, Multi System VCRs, Pal Camcorders, Home Theatre System, Region & Code Free DVD Players, i see they sell only Yamaha and denon dual voltage AVR's. Any idea where one can purchase dual voltage Onkyo AVR's(online or retail shop) in US. My friend is in California.

Thanks,Prakash.

Hi Prakash,

You need not worry about the 50 / 60 Hz problem. I am using a step down
transformer for my AVR (PIONEER model 1017 ) USA 110 Volt model
without any problem. Just make shure that wattage of transformer is
nearabout double than required wattage of AVR.
