Hi..finally my kids have installed Home Assistant on a mini PC. Most of my switches in my house are connected by Smart relays and controlled by Alexa and Google. Now with HA..we are able to control via phone and tablet and wanted my own smart speaker as we are used to shouting out commands.
while there are many videos out there on how to build..most are kinda expensive and this guy says 15 dollars...I will be glad if I can build it for 30 dollars since components are expensive.
Luckily for me..my nephew was coming from Netherlands and I ordered the video guys components on Aliexpress. Unluckily for me...my nephew received it late and bought it in hand bag and was detained at Schipol and asked several questions and finally they threw it all away in the bin.
So back to finding the components in India which I do find most..but bit expensive. Main point is which ESP 32 board do I use. He has used a costlier one...for this project do the cheaper ones costing around 800 work?
My comment to the youtuber is appearing first as I typed in yesterday. Pls let me know what ESP32 I use...800 wala or I spend 1400+ coz I think any ESP would suffice..but would like your opinion.
