Favourite speakers under INR 20k

22-25K is the price at which many forum members bought Onkyo 3400. May be the prices have gone up. IIRC, someone has bought Onkyo 3500 for 26K recently.

Price for 3400 went up during rupee depreciation. Prior to that many had bought for 22-23K and there was an offer on ebay for 21.5. HTS 3400 prices will come done Need to wait for some time.

I think Edifier range can also be used in this category. I must say music listening is more natural or ear soothing with the edifier when compared to the logitech (basyy boy)..

I agree. Edifiers I think are at the moment the most musical computer speakers available in the Indian market, at least in the sub 10K category.
One can of course get a Klipsch Pro Media 2.1, or a Swans, but these are rarely available in India.

The gloss finish costs a bit more, it's in the 30k range, so I had to opt for the darker of the wood finishes. It is a dark red wood finish. Looks very good. The build quality of the speakers seems to be very good. Heavy and inert. Of course not as sexy as the Wharfedale 10.1, but in terms of sound the Wharfedale can't come close.

HI psychotropic,
Congrats on your purchase. I was interested in the Usher V601 BS speakers. Did you hear the V series before buying this one? Any feedback between these 2 speakers from Usher? The V601 is around 35k i believe...

Thanks

Chirag

If music is involved, look away from all these computer 5.1 setups and look at Cambridge Audio S30 bookshelf speakers for 8.5k and pair them to any decent amp, they're extremely high value for money entry level audiophile grade bookshelf speakers.

If it involves video games, only then look at those 5.1's, otherwise look at an S30 and some basic amp like topping.

The s30 was reviewed at the 2012 pune meet and liked by a lot of people
