Floor Standing Speakers

Need to get a pair of floor standing speakers to go with my Yamaha RXV-467, have shortlisted the Pradigm Monitor 7, Sonodyne Sonus 2605 V3, JBL ES80 among a few. Need your inputs on these and or any other options in the 20k-40k price range.Please help me out on making up my mind.

I didn't like the sound of monitors, and I personally wouldnt opt for the jbl, so my vote goes for the sonodyne!

Sonus 2605 is the best amongst the mentioned ones. It is very much balanced both for Music and Movie. The best combination would be have tower speakers of Sonus 2605 along with center speaker of Avant.

I have Sonodyne Sonus 2605 v2...Very good speakers for the price....Also have heard them paired up with Yamaha receivers many times....They are a good match..

Though i got Sonus C2401 center channel, i have also brought the Avant LCR250 Center speaker for a demo @ home..... & yes i must say that Avant is very good speaker....Picking plenty of details & crystal clear sound....

After a weeks time of demo, i might Exchange the Center channel speaker...hyeah:

If i had to compare Sonus C2401 Vs Avant LCR250, Avant would win hands down....The difference is so evident....:clapping:

Paradigm Monitor 7 is good for movies + Jamo older version which made years back will be good for movies + music and bit warmer and now new Jamo versions whatever in the market were not worth mentioning.

Budget is anywhere between the 20k to 40k range, basically need it for Stereo music and some movies. How's the Wharfedale Atlantic 400 and Atlantic 500? Any inputs on them.

Ritesh you can also look for Morduant short aviano 6 also if u stretch your budget to 45 k u also also get aviano which offers more bass.

I currently use the Sonodyne SONUS 2605 V3 Towers alongwith the Sonodyne SIA 320(80W at 8ohms and 100W at 4ohms) AMP.....its a fantastic VFM combo!!!....my source is a LG blueray player which does a decent job for wrt music + concert videos on a stereo setup.....I think u need to listen to this sonodyne combo and then take a call...all the best!

For 2012, yes there was 26% discount on Jan 26th Week.....Kittu had updated a thread with complete details....Also during Oct - Nov'12, i believe it was there but only for Kolkatta...

Not very sure if they would do it for next year (2013)...

But in Hifimart, there is already a flat 10% discount....

its definetly worth a Demo.

Even i'm considering purchasing Sonodyne Sonus 2605 V3, had auditioned them in Bangalore and I was very impressed with the sound quality. Also Sonus 2605 is VFM and has good build quality and styling/design which gives it lead point over similar products from other competitors.

I haven't heard the wharfeale diamond 10 CS speaker...But right now ma using the Sonodyne Avant LCR250 as the center channel in home demo...

The dialogues are crystal clear in Avant LCR250 if i had to compare with Sonus C2401....

Also Avant LCR 250 is 90db efficiency, so even with a modest amplifier power you can get good results...

Audition the Avant LCR250 & give your feedback....

I had checked with Sonodyne if they would have this for 2013 when i was planning to buy......They told me that it is Marketing teams decision.... So no guarantee if they will roll out this year (or) not....

What if they decide not to roll out this year....... You are still lucky as you should have got 10% already if placed thru hifimart...
