You should audition the Wharfedale Diamond 8.4 and Mordaunt-Short 914i speakers. Polk Monitors are also within your budget but I have not heard them.

Thanks Particle man. By the way I am in Bangalore, so is it possible for you to tell me about any dealer based in Bangalore for the speakers you have mentioned?

Hello,

Thanks for the detailed information. I will be paying 18K for that Yamaha receiver and my friend will be getting it for me from a Delhi Yamaha Dealer with Warranty. I was not able to find someone for Yamaha in Bangalore. I am interested in Yamaha as they are good for movies. If you have inputs on these then do let me know.

Hi Vikram,

Check out the NS555's + NSP pkg I have posted in the classifieds - they are a good match for the Yamaha 461. I am now using NS 777's.

Hi Viki,

Where did you buy the Yamaha Speakers? How is the Quality when compared to Elac/B&W Speakers?

Thanks
Robin..

bought them from the yamaha dealer in pune. I have'nt heard Elac, but I definitely preferred them to a pair of B&W's that I had auditioned before I bought my Yammies. Could have been the amp they were using, though. Also, the B&W's seemed expensive for the size and spec.
