It could be so with the ones overlooking the main roads or the ones frequented often due to their bar licenses. I was talking about the very small outlets, many with seating capacities of less than 20 ..... tucked away in the bylanes deep inside Tangra.
I had taken a tour of that area during a winter visit to Kolkata 3 years ago. The food was absolutely different ...... very very home-made stuff, served without the usual fanfare one is used to in 'usual' restaurants. Even I (a Chinese food-freak) had to take assistance in understanding the nomenclature of the dishes before ordering! And the taste ...... just right ... abso authentic!
