Frugel Horns with Alpair 7.3 Drivers

It is the same carpenter who is making my speakers who is making these too. The cuts etc. are fairly easy except for the joint between back and the middle panels.They are almost done.

.It should be 70 mm from top to centre of the Driver + 18 mm of the top piece. See this pic from plan...

there seems to be a size difference of 11 mm in overall dia between Alpair 7.3 Gold and MA CHR 70.

That's precisely why the confusion as to how the drivers should be spaced.

Capt, if you go by the same 70 mm CL you will be left with just about 20.5 mm from top of the cab to the rim of the driver... which is barely enough for a grille, if you are planning one...

However it will be interesting to see, how you are going to locate the CL on the sloped baffle, which is a different plane/projection as per the drawing...

May be you need to do some compensation... by adding 1 mm to 1.5 mm...
