Friends,

Its time people to start discussing about the FTA.

The concept of free sat channel and DIY kit.

I came across this as I am looking for a good DTH provider.

Its seems to be in the nascent hobby stage in India, and is privilege of

elite few.

The moot point is why not share the info and get new channels free, more

facilities, better equipment, better picture & sound for small toil.

Experts can guide here on this topic.

I m also in wait for some knowledge on this topic. I think there are some free HD channel also available. But not sure about it. Forum members having knowledge of high end FTA Hd set top boxes and satellite dxing must share their views/ideas/experiments on HFV

For me FTA ended way back with most of the transponders on "C" band 3700-4200MHz going digital and paid. Still have many many of those receivers around.

i am receiving around 50 channels fta c band . 2 of them hd. fta
you have to erect c band dish 10 feet dia and to buy fta mpeg 4 receiver with hdmi out ....sound & pict quality nice

I have a solid hd box coupled with a 6 feet dish which I sometimes use for Malayalam channels. There is one HD channel Angel TV. There are other fta hd channels also which can be tracked by changing the dish direction. A bigger dish is recommended to get maximum signal strength and for using multiple LNBs.
