Hello all !

small query....i need to get a pair of DSE floorstanders shipped from nagpur to mumbai (or thane). could someone pls suggest a good way for them to be shipped here. i presume using a normal courier service like blue dart or dtdc could set me back by upwards of 1k. any other cheaper alternative that i could avail of ? i could've got them through my father via flight from nagpur, but am afraid the handling-ways of the airport-staff could damage the speakers. am i justified in thinking this ? any suggestion would be appreciated :)

Blue Dart is probably going to be at least 1K. You are better off with the airport staff in transporting compared to DTDC type couriers

thanks

I have transported speakers internationally via airline cargo. If you use proper (original is best) packaging, nothing should happen.

thanks ! the speakers are packed in original box. would think about this, although would first like to check with the road-transport option.

Check the inter state private bus services, for speakers thats the best and cheap.

Pack it well and send it as Sajith suggested.

nice ! would check up on this. thanks !

I've used Blue Dart in the past. They're very good. Brought in an amp from Delhi by Air. Just make sure you pack the speakers right. What I mean is the seller took great pains to pack the amp well so I wouldn't get damaged in transit. However, I was charged for the volume as against the weight. So landed up paying for 50 kgs instead of 20 kgs. Please check this before you ship the speakers. Last week I used Agarwal Packers to bring down floorstanders from Chennai. I will receive the consignment tomorrow. They picked up the speakers on the 22nd. So a good 10 days transit by road. You may also consider an additional 3% of declared value if you wish to insure the consignment.

incidentally, even i had 'agarwal movers & packers' in my mind. just got hold of their no. would give them a call tomorrow.

Hi Bluu

I am planning to ship speakers from Dubai. Can you give me some idea about the customs duty? It will be great if you can give some idea about shipping cost.

Thanks

Speaker Transport

Since Nagpur is not far from Mumbai, you can consider to take it yourself in car because no one is going to take better care the way you will do.

With this trip you can also add up some of your other routine works or take a casual break at Nagpur.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
