have just joined the forum. i'm looking to buy a stereo amplifier and floorstanding speakers(eventually). my interest in music varies from jazz to heavy metal. at the moment i use a 7 year old yamaha av receiver to drive equally old bose 301s. have been reading up on hi fi for the past 8 years now and dreaming of owning the ultimate within a budget. unfortunately i just cant seem to make up my mind with all the five star ratings and best buys around. would really appreciate it if any one of u could shine some light for me. can stretch my budget to around one lakh. the setup should have impact even at low volumes. waiting in anticipation
