help me to buy 40 inch LCD TV

Hello friends.. i am newbie here.. searched the forums to know about the difference between Plasma / LCD. Though plasma is better than LCD, my budget is constraint for now..

Recently an advt. caught my eye and thought why not replace my 32" Samsung plano with LCD 40". That adtv. is from "VU" it is about exchange offer the cost of VU 40" LCD TV is 34999/-

Is it worth?

Or do you recommend to go for some better one than this?

40" LCD for 35K is very good. But..... make sure the PQ is up to your desired standard.

PQ? i dont know how to decide ! Can you guide me?
I dont much understand the difference between aspect ratio, refresh rate..

I could find a spec about VU 40" tv in their website :: VU Technologies ::. but i can't see any refresh rate mention.

may be PQ might be poor? i cant guess anything from the spec.
What is A+ panel.. does it give better PQ?

welcome to hfv...........u can look for 42" plasma in panasonic which comes in same budget but not full hd....if you are satisfied with vu lcd pq then you can opt for it,

sony LED EX710 series with motion flow of 100hz (effective 120hz).

price is 69990 but u can get additional 5% discount and if u can get EX700 series, then buy it as the diff between both the series is the panel color and price diff of 3-4k...chk it out!

tv is one time purchase for a long time mate,save some more money ,say 15k extra and buy panny 42u20d ,lg ld460 ,sammy 530,there are lots of models for that price range and u will be much satisfied by its quality.
panny 42u20d= 48k
lgld460 = 49k
sammy 530 =51k
all the amounts are after bargain.......

thanks for these info, is there any difference in LCD panel.. when i was talking in Samsung outlet, he was telling high quality panel.. what is high quality means? how to differentiate these things?!
