Help needed in selecting the right speaker for my Yamaha AS 500.

So, a small summary of my plans!

1. Check my amp's overheating problem.
2. Get a better interconnect, pc to amp
3. Thicker speaker cable, 12 swg

4. Speakers auditions:
4a. Q Acoustics 2050i at Hifilinks, Cochin, Kerala
4b. KEF Q500, Polk Rti A8 at Profx Banglore.
4c.Wharfedale 10.4 and Paradigm Monitor 9 at Xenex Soundworks, Cochin.
4d. Sonodyne Sonus 2605 at Bangalore but don't know exactly where is their showroom.

BUT, I haven't yet found a near enough place for auditioning the Tannoy Mercury v4i and Monitor Audio BX6 and BR6 which are the real contenders.
Also, a demo for the B&W 685 would be great too.
So, please help me find a place for that in Bangalore.

I think the Sonodyne showroom is in Indiranagar. Check out its website.

Reached Banglore and I'm on my way to Music Ranch to demo the Tannoys.

Gonna be interesting!

Ok, got the demo done.

Tannoy Mercury v4i :
Amp: NAD 356
Sound: Slightly bright with decent bass definition. Good sound stage.
But compared to the PSB x1t, it felt a bit unnatural.

Psb x1t:
same amp.
Sound: Felt more midbass and a bit louder mids.
Treble is non existent for my taste.

Conclusion:
Tannoy is good but not that good to have that "wow" effect on upgrading from the Magnats.
Sounded ok but not lively enough for my liking.

I think nad goes better with psb, not with tannoy. I have yamaha as 500 and tannoy v4i. You may want to check q acoustics for your liking.it has the punch compared to tannoy...tannoy is more musical i would say.
