help needed to find compatible 5.1 speakers for TX SR 608

i have just joined the forum and THANK GOD, I HAVE FOUNF THIS FORUM. i have been going crazy to get proper guidance on the net.

i am looking to setup a decent 5.1 channel system for my living room. i have searched local AV dealers in my area (rajkot, gujarat) and reached to a conclusion that onkyo is the brand from which i will be able get a good support to set up the system.

my primary requirement for the system i am looking for is a good video processing capabikity. i will be using my Panasonic 42" plasma panel for display. i found that only TX SR 608 or higher receivers have video upscalling. now, what speaker package should i go for? is SKS HT 728 a good match? i must admir, i do not know the basics of matching df components like power, impedence.

the receive delivers 175kw at 6ohms and center, fronts and sats ar rated at 130kw with 6ohms. the sub is an active sub with 290kw.

I am in the lookout for 5.1 as well...got numerous suggestions from these forum members...

It will be easy for them if u specify the budget...

and i heard that the speakers from onkyo are not that good...

speakers and av put togather, i am looking to spend not more than 75k

i know i can get many options in the budget but my constraint is the local support available in setting up the system, hense i have stated that onkyo is the brand which can provide me good helping hand. we do get recvrs from dennon, yamaha in rajkot and speakers too i can get polk, jamo, jbl, sonodyne on order.... but will have to select them without an audition, which i would not prefer

they match ok but for driving sks 728 speakers you really dont need 608 receiver.... You can drive them well with lower versions. Try 608 with paradigm 110ct or Deftch pro cinema 600...

Some times the combinations and calcs may match but no garantee you will like the sound...

i have searched almost lot and decided upon TX SR 505 with SKS HT 728. the receiver does not have upscalling but matches the speakers and my budget well
