Marantz PM5005 amp + Wharfedale Diamond 220 speaker + any source below.
1. Chromecast audio RCA out
2. Tantra Fluke BT Receiver RCA out
3. RPi + Fiio E10K DAC RCA out

In all of these above cases I hear "tr..tr..tr..tr..tr.." noise when volume level goes above 9 to 12 depending on source. when I don't play music I can hear that cracking sound clearly.

This is really annoying and this is my first serious problem with my first Stereo system build. Please help me to fix the same.

Follow process of elimination to isolate which of these is the culprit.
One source at a time, on the same RCA inputs of amp.

Raghu

Thanks. All sources produce noise. I can confirm that noise comes from source. Some source begins at volume level 10 and some of them at 12. All sources use power from a multi port USB power supply. Let me check by replacing it with individual power.

Hmmm
Chromecast audio has its own wall-wart. Try that alone.
Don't know about the other two sources

I just connected all sources with its own power supply than sharing common ground of a multi port power supply. It fixed the issue. Now all sources work without any noise. Feeling happy to fix this issue.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
