Help to buy New Home Theatre-Onkyo HTS3400 OR Sony DAV DZ 610

HI,
My budget is 25k and want to buy a home theatre for my apartment.I have a samsung HDTV and a Onida DVD Player. I wanted a HTIB for movies and listening to MP3s so please suggest me a good HTIB. I am confused with Onkyo HTS3400 or the Sony DAVDZ 610 as both cost 25k in bangalore.

Go for Onkyo HTS3400 Future proof...Its the Best option since you have already a dvd player. You can buy bluray player in the future and can enjoy HD audio...

In my opinion you should go for Onkyo HTS3400.

It's a choice of Convenience (Sony) vs. Performance (Onkyo).
If you want less clutter (in the form of wires and boxes) go for Sony, else Onkyo.
The Sony model you have specified comes with following conveniences over Onkyo

1. built-in DVD player
2. Bigger/better 6.5 inch speakers
3. built-in USB port

Onkyo has HDMI both input and output ports. But Speakers are just okay for music, which you may want to upgrade later.
