I just entered into this forum today. I am into buying a hometheatre and I have fixed my budjet to 35K to 40K. I have come across a combination of Denon 1312 receiver with Polk Audio RM 705 5.1 speaker systems. Is it the best options I need to go for? Or the basic Onkyo model where I will get everything for 25K. Please advise.

The speaker package which you get with basic models are not that great. As you have a budget in mind, you need to do audition some systems and find the one which you like. The general suggestion is to get the best speakers you can afford. If you are looking between Onkyo and Denon, Barton Center (thinking that you are in Bangalore) has both stores for you to try out.
