Hii
Finally my dream setup is coming up. Making a dedicated HT Room. I had purchased the HT equipments the ""hifivision way..."" gradually step by step..
I m going to install the following setup.
AVR: Onkyo 609 (I once again thankx Flash for helping me making the right choice :clapping
Speakers: Mordaunt Short s Aviano 6, Aviano 5 and QAcoustics QAV as surrounds
Subwoofer: Again :clapping:hifivision ! JBL ES250 from amazon.de
Projector: Optoma HD20 sourced from US.
Well I need some inputs regarding the HT room, screen size etc.. My Room in which I am planning to install the setup is 11.1 feet wide, 14 feet depth (eye to screen) and 9.5 feet high (floor to ceiling) ...
There will be only one Row at the last and may be 1 or 2 bean-bags in the sides...
1.) What screen size should I go for..
The width of the room being 134 inches , I can go for 110 inch (96 inches wide) diagonal or 100 inch diagonal (88 inch wide) screen. as I have to leave about 25 inches for two floor standers also ,, 12.5 inch on either sides.
So its 12.5-----------109--------------12.5 inch == 134 inches
Height is not an issue as I have 9 feet for the screen to mount... :licklips:
Should I go for 100 or 110 or 120 inch diagonal (104+5 inches for black border + 25 =134 inches)
2.) What room acoustic treatments should I do
This HT room is almost a cube 11*14*9.5 , which is the most undesired types for a HT room .. in terms of acoustics (Read it one of the recent threads about acoustics in HFV)
Moreover I will be having a bookshelf with about 50-100 books novels etc,.., IMHO...So I guess that would also work for some amount of sound absorption.
I am planning to fill the ceiling with glass wool and even on one side, precisely LEFT SIde..of the room
On the Right will be the Bookshelf,. (not the speakers
) but the real books..
Currently the room has marble flooring,
I can go for wooden flooring only if its has any advantage in terms of acoustics or else a thick rugged carpet should be another option.. Please suggest one out of these 2.
Moreover i am goint to have to stick to floorstanders only for this room as I have already procured them,
So for approx 120 square feet or 1475 cc volume of room, are the FS suitable ..?
Please provide your inputs,, and help me building my dream HT Room. :yahoo:
