How To 5.1 In iTunes

hi all,

can anyone help me how you import the flac/ ac3/ aac files with multichannel into itunes.. i converted to aac but its not importing, its a bum when i see tat itunes has many restrictions to do so.. if anyone is doing this let me know..

The simple answer is you cannot.

Are you on Windows or Mac? Also, are you planning to play these on the iPod? The iPod does not support more than two channels so it'll be pointless. For Mac, you can use some apps (XLD or afconvert) to convert the 5.1 media into ALAC which supports up to 8 channels.

Disclaimer: I'm not a Mac user and have not tried these techniques.
