Hii Guys,

firstly, my question may sound stupid at this stage but please advise.

I have the following set up
1. Denon 1911AVR
2. Pioneer DV 220K DVP
3. Sony 32'' HDready LCD

Now, i regularly down load HD (1080 & 720p) movies via bit torrent and convert them (using format factory) to VOB format watch them:

observation:

1. If i convert them to 720 x 576 p it works fine

2. If i convert to 1280 x 720p - its said the resolution is not supported

Now, the following question:

1. My TV purported to support 720 p , being HD ready, why cant it take the said res or is it the DVD player which is the Culprit

2. In either of the case please suggest how to get HD (720p) display; I mean i am not so techie, so suggest me whteher to convert them to some other format (rem the DVDP is pioneer 220k) or some adjustment in the hardware is required.

Hope my intention is clear.

So guys please help.

cheers

DVDp cant support 720p & you need to buy a media player(starting around 5k)which can play DL mov.

as spirovious said, the Pioneer 220 can't play 720P. Get an HD media player then you can enjoy these movies in all their high-res glory without having to go through the jhan-jhat of converting, which takes so much time anyway.

Thx guys for threplies!

Tlaking about media players, i know there are appropriate threads, but would like to know about Asus O play HD 2 and Asus mini are they good if i also want HD pass throughs?
