Hi Guys,
I am planning to set up a HT ideally for watching moview. Ideally I would like a 5.1 set up with good AVR. But I am having a budget constrain of MAX 60K and cannot go any beyond. And I know that I can either buy a decent speaker package paired with a low end AVR OR buy a low end speaker package paired with a decent AVR.
So my question to all of you is, should I initially invest in better speakers(with low end AVR) or should I invest on a better AVR(with low end speakers)?

Hi,

There would be entry to medium level systems within that budget. Depending on listening area, you need to decide the type of speakers, how much output etc.

You can always buy the avr first and purchase the front speakers + sub...slowly you can add the remaining speakers etc.

Based on which city you reside, go and audition systems with your music and start making a list of those systems which appeal to you for performance, connectivity, appearance etc.

If budget is tight and you want something worthwhile, see the preowned systems in For sale by owner or Hi Fi ads
