Hello Masters,

I am looking for a Home theater Syatem which can convert the DTH cable input to 5.1 effect. Reason is we dont watch DVD's in ur daily routine, what is most used is Cable TV. Any ideas, suggession ?

I have seen many systems out of which the most i Preffer is Onkyo HT3100.

My budget is not more than 25K.

Your comments & inputs are most erquired.

Thank You,

Amit Kothari

no home theater system (or any device on the planet) can convert a stereo signal into a real 5.1 signal. Most home theater setups and multi-channel receivers can do some kind of pseudo surround by which the stereo signal is duplicated on the surround speakers and fed to the center speaker.....listen to the candidates that you are planning to buy...hooked up to a stereo source like your STB, and see if you like the pseudo-surround that it produces....if it sounds good to you....go for it!

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
