ifFalcon appreciates Netflix Mitv not
Mitv provides 10bit-HDR10 ifFalcon not(it's HDR Pro - inferior to HDR10)
Hence, Mitv is good for PS4 ifFalcon is for Netflix

this of course makes sense when ur eyes can make out HDR 10.... unless u have a TV for comparison side by side how do you know if HDR 10 is working and is good?

lol nobody cares to compare once it's home.it's all just on internet.
for links,Digit mentioned [Sponsored Post] in the end and beebom never mentioned HDR10.Never I heard from iffalcon/advertisement or Flipkart specifications about HDR10 mention like MI did.
Personally,I believe ELEDs can't do justice to HDR tech more than simply mentioning it,its for the elites.MiTV4A 43 inch is my choice of the moment - Cheap-Patchwall&1Remote-NoHDR4KfussDLED give me one 55inchFullHD for 30,000 am sorted!

1. When i changed Speech to "English (US)",
the voice icon on TV change to Assistant icon.

but upon pressing mic key on remote, the Assistant icon at bottom just displays "How can i help you", & does NOT, listens to any command, basically it hangs.
and after a delay of 1 minute, TV screens returns to normal.

Changed back to "English India". restarted the TV
but mic icon still hangs for a minute,
had to factory reset, to fix this problem.

2. Can anybody post a screenshot of best Display settings ?

3. A youtube reviewer "techtak", from launch event, metioned that iFFalcon will upgrade the Android TV to Oreo in June.

but i wonder if TCL/iFFalcon will be serious about software updates at all !!!

Can you please confirm if iffalcon k2A supports following, need to use it as a PC monitor:

1. Chroma 4.4.4 sampling with 4K@60HZ
2. NTSC Color gamit >95%
3. Full HD to 4K upscaling
4. What the input lag? (not response time)

Hi Guys,

I have been searching and trying day in and day out to use ARC port of iffalcon K2A. Can anyone help me with this.?

My problem is, that even after connecting ARC to my home theater sound is coming from both TV and home theatre. ARC should disable TV speakers automatically.

Thanks Guys...

Karan Sharma

3) Its got 4 HDMI I think. I dont need so many. Its got ARC but my receiver doesnt. Hence havent tested it. Because of above laptop to receiver issue - I plugged a SPDIF out from TV into my receiver. So whatever content I directly watch on TV using its smartness - I do get 5.1 sound from my receiver. However when I connect my Laptop directly to the TV - the SPDIF to Receiver doesnt seem to work and hence I am stuck with sound from the TV - if anyone has a better idea please help me out or else I am forced to buy a new receiver

Lovely review. I might look into getting this one. But I still need to do a compare with Mi. I assume you would have HDMI out on your laptop. Try usig it. Connect that to one of HDMI in of Receiver and HDMI out to TV. This way you can drop the audio in Receiver for 5.1 experience and send video to TV.
Presently I use Minix U1 as my default player which connects to my cloud drive on wifi to stream the movies. The Minix connects to Yamaha receiver and the receiver hdmi out is connected to TV. I get full 7.2 experience.

Hi,
I'm new to this thread, I'm very happy to see the other members sharing their views/experiences/suggestions.

After juggling a lot for want of a 55" 4K tv and R&D for a period of 1yr, finally hooked-up with IFFALCON K2A.
So far so good...
Initially, fed-up with different versions of OS and limited apps - looked for a pure android based tv. At a higher price VU 55SU134 was available only for a limited period and not available right now, which is priced at 70K mrp. I was roaming around to find this model even at VU stores in Mumbai, Pune & Coimbatore, but came to know that - there was no production. :( https://www.vutvs.com/exclusive-stores:( so chapter closed.

Later googled for Pure Android TV https://www.android.com/tv/ & came to know that only few manufacturers are certified for official android OS. (don't know why TCL/IFFALCON is not listed).

Now, I'm really very much excited to get into deep, I could find few differences in features & options found differently in Android OS.

Mirror sharing Vs Chrome cast Sharing: Most of the TV supplied apps mentioned as mirror sharing, but there is a catch. I have been using chrome cast for couple of years on my HD tv (not smart). We love playing motion tennis & Just dance apps, which my kids play very frequently. And watch few movies on big screen. the basic advance feature is that, once casting is started, you can put your mobile device screen off. which isn't possible in mirror sharing.

Next done some research about HDMI ARC, which was really interesting - will talk about in detail later.

Now finally set to buy online, but failed for weeks - my desperation reached peaks. looked for alternatives. tried some tips & tricks for online flash sale. Failed even though. Tried some cheap tricks also on https://www.olx.in/all-results/q-iffalcon/ where I found many ****** who spoil the spirit of flash sale. Keeping in touch & getting some tips - finally I could able to book one for me. My friend & I tried for flash sale, I failed and he could get it for me. I'm pride. (I can't write my own review on Flipkart)

Before I actually bought the TV, I planned for few makeovers to my living room.
1. TV Unit: Brought from Flipkart, delivered in 2 days. Good quality, the only option available for an exact 55" tv fit. (pic encl.)
2. Home theater system: Sony HT IV300 5.1 Channel - Works pretty well with HDMI ARC. Watching football match is mind blowing. (addl. feature football mode). https://www.sony.co.in/electronics/sound-bars/ht-iv300

Review: Good Picture quality, 4K videos, Seamless connectivity Chrome Cast, Wireless & Bluetooth. Sound output is at best. User friendly navigation.
About Play store apps: Even though it's official Android, but few Google apps doesn't support, like google drive, google photos, Chrome(works if side loaded). Few apps have orientation problem if side loaded.

Using the TV features: Hell lot of menu options & settings for Picture & Sound, where as I need to attend a course to study and understand the pros & cons for getting better viewing experience. Limited information is provided with the paper back manual and also with the inbuilt e-manual app.

HDMI ARC: Quite interesting and new to me, I connected my STB to home theater (HT) & to TV with just couple of HDMI cables.
There are options for Auto power on & off feature for both (HT & TV), which is very convenient to on & off all devices with a single button press.

The HDMI ARC works in two ways,
1. Watching any channel on TV via STB, - Audio passes thru STB ==> HT ==> TV.
2. Watching any content (like youtube, Netflix etc.) - Audio passes thru TV ==> HT.
Sound output is also good, but now I'm worried after doing more R & D on HDMI ARC, few brand TVs will pass 2.1 channel output thru HDMI ARC. which I doubt in IFFALCON K2A??? Today I will test and update.

thanks! bored U ?

For any in depth clarification on any menu option/feature/Audio Video info. lets dig it out.

Hi,

My testing continues to pass 5.1 channel audio output from TV to Home theater.
After playing multiple audio/videos on Youtube, USB and other external sources directly on the TV, Dolby Audio had done a great job from the TV speakers. And when audio was passed thru the HDMI ARC to the home theater for 5.1 channel output is failed drastically.

To know more about in detailed, I checked few videos on youtube and found something interesting. I'm sharing a link for your better understanding.
watch the video at 6:15 for info about HDMI ARC. In this video it is clearly mentioned that in most of the TVs HDMI ARC produces only 2.1 channel output.

Source from Internet: "The HDMI jack on the TV is labeled ARC and is not HDCP 2.2 compatible, connect the receiver to the HDCP 2.2 compatible HDMI jack on the TV using an HDMI cable. Then, connect an optical digital cable to the optical output jack of the TV to listen to digital sound."

Now its clear that, Iffalcon K2A HDMI ARC port doesn't produce 5.1 channel audio output. To confirm the same, I had written a mail to [email protected], waiting for their confirmation.

For guys who are looking to take the advantage of connecting the HDMI ARC to the home theater for 5.1 channel output is of no use, rather the HDMI ARC port doesn't require at all.

For a better audio output (5.1 channel) the only option left is to connect thru an optical port / SPDIF cable.

Hi Sharma,
Please explain in detail, what is the source, is it TV audio or external source? Which model HT? & Does HT have HDMI ARC?

Hey, Thanks for all the details you have provided in posts above.

My HT is Yamaha YHT 2910 5.1 and it does have ARC port. I have similar connection as yours i.e.

STB===>HT (through HDMI)

HT ARC===>Iffacon K2A ARC (HDMI 2)

The issue is TV's sound should get auto disabled when ARC is connected but with Iffalcon K2A, TV speakers does not get disabled, therefore sound comes from both TV and HT at a given moment of time. I tried with Optical cable as well, but TV speakers did not get disabled.
