it used to be really great till it was held at rang bhavan.
lost track of it once it started moving to various other venues.

True in a way. Rang Bhavan had its charm and aura. I went to Chitrakoot grounds 3 years back, and due to the open ground, it probably was less effective as a venue, but neverthless, I-Rock has always been about promoting fresh new talent, and so many bands we know today were once freshers at I-Rock, viz. Myndsnare, Sceptre, Demonic Resurrection, PDV, etc. so the venue is just one element in the whole experience.
