infocus IN72 used projector for 25k worth it?

Hi all!
Not much of an ht person but when a friend of mine wants to sell his old projector am quite tempted to give it a shot!so seeking advice from all you ht/pj afficanados! My Friend says bulbs usage clocks around 1-1.5k hrs!

I would suggest to put 4-5K more and get a decent WXGA projector for that price. There are a couple of Dell and Acer LED ones available in that range.

If I am right, IN72 is a WSVGA projector at 854x480 resolution. When there are 1280x800 resolution projectors available (new ones) at some 4-5K only more, I was telling if I am in your side I would've gone for a new one. Plus that since the lamp has done 1-1.5K hours means the brightness must have already started diminishing.
