International Warranty on projectors

Hey Guys,

My brother is visiting me from US, thought I will get a 1080P projector for myself(maybe a HD26), but after searching the forums, it seems like many major companies don't provide international warranty!

Are there any brands that do provide international warranty?

None that i know of. However, it maybe worthwhile to ask the companies themselves if they are willing to provide it for an additional cost.

I know in case of HP, (albeit it is PC) they used to provide international warranty for 2 years or so. Likewise, Swarovski (jewellery) honours warranty for their goods purchased anywhere in the world.

Assuming, I get a 600$ (39.5K INR) 1080p projector now and sell it after 1 year in India, assuming no warranty and 500 hrs on the bulb, what will it fetch me?

I could not give you a figure without an applicable warranty.

No problem. I went through the sales thread and got an idea. It's not a loss of iI get it from US and sell it locally after a year.
