Is it time to do another workshop in Bangalore?

Looking forward to this. Awaiting more details on the event. Tentatively confirmed by me.

I will also contribute with some exclusive Photography.

Cheers...

I am in too. Happy to volunteer some time.

Mods, can we include a poll to finalise the date?

14 April
21 April
28 April

Will give Raghu a call tomorrow to check availability of venue.

Why didn't you volunteer in the Chennai meet. I would've avoided exposure of my pathetic photographic skills.

Captain - What you have done is far beyond photography skills. You have shared with us all the entire experience. Thank you for sharing those moments :)

I would have loved to capture the Chennai event, however I have a very hectic work schedule and managing family time on weekends makes it very difficult.

Now thats its going to be in Bangalore, I hopefully will be able to dedicate time to this event.

Cheers...

John Antony is another volunteer,(Thanks John) so I think between Santhosh, John and I, we will plan the first of the two events, assuming it is a half day format. Santhosh-please go ahead with contacting Raghu, and should the dates need to be firmed up first go ahead with the poll, we can talk to Raghu after that.

Actually it might very well turn out to be auditions only and nothing else! If the preference is to have a one day format we can do one extended session in the morning and another in the afternoon.Considering that Santhosh and I have already heard some of the gear, this is being conducted purely for the benefit of all you members of the audio community here in Bangalore.

What does the majority prefer-one full day or two half days?

Thanks

Bangalore is my second hometown. Count me in specially if it's audition as I am not much of a techie to understand anything other than listening to music

Update folks: Spoke to Raghu@Anutone and they have kindly agreed to provide the venue for Sunday 28, April as he is travelling before that.

So, date for the meet is now confirmed for 28 April. Only those of you who have not confirmed so far or had previously confirmed but cannot make it on 28, please drop a line on this thread.

At this point we are looking to have 3 commercial members make their gear available for us to listen. Each session will be about 1.5hrs. George, John_K_Anthony and I are in touch with commercial members.

As of today, AnalogAudioLabs have confirmed their participation, they will probably bring two of their best models (VP-845 and A-150) and also their entry level hybrid amp A-101i. We have been requested to organize for some sensitive speakers to go with their gear, as it will be difficult to lug their speakers from Kerala.

Folks we are taking a bit of time both to firm up the format and to interact with various commercial entities and will post once things have taken some shape-hopefully by the end of the week.

I mooted the idea with 'Audio People' to participate in the meet to which, they responded positively.

@GeorgeO, let's take it forward as discussed.

Hope you guys get Cadence Arista speakers since they paired well with the amps.

We now have in principle interest from three -Acoustic Portrait, Audio People and Analogue Audio Labs, so once Santhosh is free towards the later part of this week, we will figure out how to take things forward.

I dont know who in Bangalore has the Cadence speakers and willing to spare them for the event.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
