is it worth it? Sony EX42 32" @ 1600 Rinngits

Hi All,

I need your advice,

I am getting Sony Bravia EX42 32" for 1600 malaysian rinngits alongwith a Sony hD dvd player (usb, hd, etc) + HDMI cable. Do you guys think its worth it?

Currently 1 MYR = 16.2INR

so total in INR = 1600 * 16.2 = 25920
+ Luggage 40 MYR = 648

Total 26568 INR

Is it worth it?

Guess it is cheaper by about Rs. 5000 from the Indian grey market as it also includes a DVD player. Worth or not is totally a personal perception.
Anyhow it will be definitely better than buying from Indian Sony (I have experienced quality issues in Sony LCD/LED TVs marketed in India)

this is not grey market.

I am buying from sony world here. they r giving me ltd international warranty for a year.

1 year warranty is no big deal if you can get it at a much lower price without internatioinal warranty.
Or if you already own a DVD player, then you can negotiate further by asking them to adjust the price of the DVD player they are offering for free, if not you always have the option of encashing the player in India.
