I am looking for affordable side surrounds ( less than 10k is preferable) in my HT setup to make it 5.1.
Need some user feedback on JBL Control one ( ~8k) which also comes with wall mounting hardware.
In the specs it is mentioned as studio monitor.
Fronts are Wharfedale 220 + 220c and the smallest bookshelf 210 is costing 15k. So looking for other options.

Spec looks fine and it can be wall mounted.
Impedence : 8 ohms
Sensitivity(2.83V@1m) 89dB
Frequency Response : 80Hz – 20kHz
4" (100mm) Magnetically shielded
1/2" (12mm) Titanium-laminate, magnetically shielded

Any other options in budget?

Try TAGA Harmony.
Boston Acoustics A23
Have seen somewhere around 7k - 8k budget

Surrounds can be from different brand.. Yes, JBL control one is a good option as it mount thread with brackets..Taga TAV series is an other inexpensive option, it has wall mount provision..

Check impedance, watts, all freq delivered and also sensitivity levels....anything which is 88/89 and above is good.....

Thanks all.
Online reviews shows control one is more popular than boston A23 and Taga TAV.
Will check locally.
Other option is Polk OMW3 as it is slim profile, but around 14k which is close to Wharf 210.

Please check locally......audition where possible with same content then take a call....

There was an OEM (that's a brand name) speaker available on hifimart. Don't see it any more. There are a couple of threads on it as well

I have got a quote if 11200/- for OWM3

Sorry Sunil to hijack the thread with my suggestions.. Did you finalise the surround speakers? If yes then which?
regards

Added JBL control 1 as surrounds. Have done the manual setup of level/distance and placed on tables on either side just behind the listening position. So it is almost at ear level now. Yet to wall mount. Build quality is good and nothing to fault at this price. It is stable on table as there is rubber around the corner. Overall it feels sturdy.

Played some familiar movie scenes and very happy with the surrounds experience. I felt it is more revealing type and adding that sparkle may be due to different type of tweeter. I feel these little speakers are under rated for its price/performance. Bass from the 4 inch is more than what I have expected. The size of control one is perfect for surrounds and it won't seek much attention. Placed so close to the wall and found no issues.

Would recommend this for surrounds.

Check which dealer or portal gives them cheaper and go for it....audition if possible......

I have JBL Control One for surrounds and it sounds really good. I use it for Atmos height speakers and gives very good throw and mix overhead with decent clarity.

I had used the JBL Controls one very briefly.......they need a sub if used as fronts....if for surrounds and effects (Atmos), they will be just fine

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
