Thanks Kratos for the write up.

Gear Auditioned at Soundscape
From left to right KEf Q500 , Boston Acousticx, Focal 726V, Magnat

To follow up on Kratos review
We used a Yamaha 671 AVR to audition the speakers since Kratos carried it along since he on a Speaker hunt
Focal 726V
I personally liked the Focal the best. Very detailed, and brilliant instrument separation. They are not bass Heavy nor shy, I would term it as adequate.
They would really shine with good stereo amplification.
We tried the Magnat tube amp with the Focal 726V .... Appalling
The yam 671 sounded better. - So I dont think i need to say more.
KEF Q500
A good speaker and very good bass . However when i say good bass. I mean Output- However comparing it to the Focal's it sounded smeared / bloated and a little muddy.
Vocals however did sound nice and involving however I felt male voices seemed to sound a little bloated.
Yes they are a good 20k cheaper than the 726V. so it would not be fair to compare the 2 . However with a budget of 50k -55k I would skip the Q500 and look at other speakers.
Boston and Magnat ( Don't remember the model numbers )
The Boston FS was pretty good. for the price and worth a consider. I was not paying a lot of attention, So will refrain from commenting .
Magnat BS at 32k , the less spoken the better . we heard them for approx 5 minutes and that says a lot

Well some seasoned audiophiles may ask why did we not audition the speakers with some decent stereo rigs.
Soundscape seems to be short of Stereo Amps . So besides Magnat , there was nothing else interesting.
A special Thanks to Soundscape for being warm hosts :clapping::clapping:
The Gang

I am pathetic when it comes to names - so FM's who were present please put a Name to the Face.
To be continued.........
