Klangfilm comes home

An original German made Klangfilm cinema amp rack came on the market. Had to move in fast as one of the usual dealers was also after it. The rack is sitting in a corner of my home as I type this. It now belongs to FM vktarun. Some parts for the intended restoration are already here while others are on order. Shall update here when the work starts.

A primary inspection of the racks reveals all the original transformers with serial number. Siements used to put a piece of paper with model number and serial number in between the last two layers of isolation material (transparent). Was happy to see all the paper tags intact at their place in audio Output transformers.:yahoo:

Further inspection reveals minor repairs and capacitors replaced . Anyway we will have to change all the capacitors with new one.

Restoration of such a vintage equipment requires a lots of effort in terms of time and money, Gearing up for the same .
